HOW TO RUN A SLUSH MACHINE WITH DOPE DAIQUIRI CONCENTRATE

One jug. One machine. Three gallons of slush.

Our half-gallon Dope Daiquiri jugs are concentrate. That's the most important thing in this whole guide. You don't drink it straight out of the jug and you don't pour it over ice. You mix it with water and run it through a spinning slush machine. Do that right and you're the hero of the cookout.

Here's the full playbook.

IS THE JUG READY TO DRINK?

Nope. And this is where people mess up.

The half-gallon jug is concentrate built for slush machines. It's made to be mixed with water first. Drinking it straight is not the move.

Want something ready to drink, no machine needed? That's a different product: the Dope Daiquiri 8oz pouch, single-serve, rip it and pour.

WHAT'S THE RATIO?

Burn this into your brain:

One 1/2-gallon jug + 2 1/2 gallons of water = 3 full gallons of mix.

That's the ratio for every half-gallon jug we carry. Every size, every flavor. The jug is one-sixth of the final batch, and water is the other five-sixths.

WHAT DO I NEED?

  • A spinning frozen drink machine. The kind with a clear bowl and a spout. Bars and party rental places use them.
  • One jug of Dope Daiquiri concentrate.
  • 2 1/2 gallons of clean, cold water.
  • A clean bucket or big container for mixing, if your machine bowl is smaller than 3 gallons.
  • Cups and somewhere to keep them.

Check your machine's bowl size first. Some hold 3 gallons. Some hold less. If yours is smaller, mix the full batch in a bucket and fill the bowl in rounds.

HOW DO I RUN THE MACHINE?

Step by step:

  • Start clean. Make sure the bowl, the auger (the spinning screw inside) and the spout are washed and dry.
  • Mix first. Pour the jug and the 2 1/2 gallons of water into your bucket or straight into the bowl if it fits. Stir it well. Concentrate likes to settle.
  • Fill to the line. Don't go over the max line on the bowl. Frozen mix expands.
  • Turn it on and let it spin. Follow your machine's freeze setting. It takes time to go from liquid to slush, so start it well before guests show.
  • Serve from the spout. Pull the handle, fill a cup, close it. That's the whole job.
  • Top it off with pre-mixed batch. If you're running in rounds, keep the leftover mix cold and add it in as the bowl drops. Always mix at the same ratio.

WHAT'S THE PARTY MATH?

Three gallons is 384 ounces of slush. Here's how that pours out:

  • 8-ounce cups: about 48 servings.
  • 12-ounce cups: about 32 servings.
  • 16-ounce cups: about 24 servings.

Want to know the mg in each cup? Take the total mg on the jug label and divide it by the number of cups you pour. Say your jug is labeled 320mg and you pour 32 twelve-ounce cups. That's 320 ÷ 32 = 10mg a cup. Bigger jug, bigger number per cup. Do the math for your size before the first pour.

Then the house rule kicks in: follow the serving on the label, start small. You can always come back to the machine.

HOW DO I KEEP EVERYBODY ON THE SAME PAGE?

You're the host. A few easy moves:

  • Put up a sign. Tell people what's in the machine and roughly how much is in a cup. Nobody likes a surprise.
  • Use smaller cups. It slows the line down and keeps the pace easy.
  • Keep a regular option next to it. Water, soda, a non-infused slush. Give people a choice.
  • Adults only. Keep the machine where kids can't reach the spout.

HOW DO I CLEAN UP?

Turn it off, let any leftover slush melt, and drain it. Then wash the bowl, auger and spout with warm soapy water, rinse, and let everything dry before you put it back together. Your machine's manual has the specifics. A clean machine runs better next time.

WHICH JUG SHOULD I GET?

Same ratio across the board. The difference is the total mg. Check out the 320mg, 640mg and 960mg jugs, or browse everything in drinks. Want the rundown on cans and bottles? Read Hemp Drinks 101. Every batch is in the COA library.
